Persimmon-Dyed Half-moon-bag "MeLuna" /Protea Stem Navy & Grey

This is the very first piece in the Meluna Bag Series – a beautifully handcrafted half-moon bag that combines natural materials with timeless design. The main fabric is organic cotton, dyed using traditional Japanese persimmon dyeing (kakishibu) and iron-mordanted to achieve a rich, smoky grey. This is paired with a striking navy floral print by renowned Australian designer Jocelyn Proust.

The lining is also persimmon-dyed cotton, adding depth and harmony to the overall design. Inside, you'll find two practical pockets – one zip pocket and one divided slip pocket – perfect for keeping your belongings organised.

The wide shoulder strap (4cm) is adjustable up to 100cm, allowing for a comfortable fit whether worn on the shoulder or as a crossbody.

Persimmon dye not only creates beautiful earthy tones, but also naturally strengthens the fabric and provides antibacterial properties – a unique blend of function and aesthetics.
